The Peerie Willie Johnson room on the first floor is a splendid example of Georgian architecture with ornate coving and a stunning marble fireplace. Three full height grand sash windows frame an uninterrupted outlook overlooking Orkney’s iconic St Magnus Cathedral. The room houses an exceptional grand piano gifted to the Reel by composer Sir Peter Maxwell Davies. A magnificent oak carved table makes an impressive centerpiece to the room and is capable, fully extended, of seating up to a remarkable 34 people and when reduced, reveals a generously sized and flexible space ideal for meetings, rehearsals or exams, recitals or parties. The Peerie Willie Johnson Room is accessed via the first floor foyer and is unfortunately not currently fully wheelchair accessible.
